Update your Texture Analyser firmware for a new look Touchscreen

Users of the Connect range of instruments are now able to update their Touchscreen (TSI) to upgrade to a new icon based layout and the additional of new operational languages that now contain the following 14 options:

English, Czech, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish and Turkish. 

How to get your Touchscreen (TSI) upgrade

Install the latest version of Exponent Connect and run it. When the instrument connects, the software will check the firmware and, if applicable, it will prompt you to update the firmware. Then just follow the on-screen prompts. The update process will take about 5 minutes, and the instrument will reboot after all the files have been transferred.

The reprogramming of the Communications, Motor and FPU processors is performed during the boot process. The software will lose the connection with the instrument during the reboot so the TSI will provide feedback of the progress during this phase.

TSI firmware remains on the instrument and each time a TSI is connected the current version is detected and compared with the stored version. If the stored version is newer than the current version you will be asked if you want to update it. If you accept, the file will be sent to the TSI, and the TSI will reboot into its boot loader update screen. Touch the reprogram button to apply the update
