Have you ever looked at a new powder and wondered which test to run first to start your sample characterisation journey? We have built a guided route through the Powder Flow Analyser that answers exactly that.
Start with the 3 Tests in One project: Cohesion, Powder Flow Speed Dependence (PFSD) and Caking, run back-to-back on a single sample in around 18 minutes of walk-away time. A macro inside Exponent Connect then reads your results spreadsheet and opens the new Results Interpreter tool with your data already in place, with nothing to type or transcribe.
The Results Interpreter leads with the single most significant risk your data points to. It shows every measurement in its band, ranks filling, hopper discharge and storage from most to least likely to give you trouble, and tells you which test to run next and why. Alongside it, the Sample Comparator sets two of your samples side by side, or compares yours against a reference powder from a training library of common powder samples.
Where your results point beyond powder flow, the Results Interpreter also recommends the complementary tests that run on the TA.XTplusC Texture Analyser, including unconfined yield stress for arching and ratholing risk, and vertical shear strength for hopper and bin design.
Available in Exponent Connect from version 8,1,17,0. Get the latest software.
