New Control Panel for all Connect instruments

Supporting 24 languages and touch-controlled arm movement for faster, more flexible operation.

Connect instruments are now being delivered with an external Control Panel featuring an improved interface (compared to the previously supplied Touchscreen). With this comes the ability to operate in stand alone mode in 24 different languages which will be of huge interest to those companies wishing to operate their Texture Analyser in more of a production environment where language barriers may be present.

Additionally, the Control Panel provides the option to move the arm of the instrument by touch. Using the ‘Touch To Move’ function, you can push and pull on the calibration platform to move the arm of the instrument up or down. This function is responsive enough for quick positioning as well as fine and slow movement adjustments whilst the application of greater force will achiever faster motion.

This function can be enabled/disabled by the administrator within the Control Panel settings or can be set so that it only works if the user is logged in.

To switch to ‘Touch To Move’ mode toggle this function to ‘on’ and the arm movement slider bar disappears.
