There are several application studies currently available which illustrate the testing of adhesive properties. Most of these application studies use the same fundamental test to demonstrate a variety of adhesive principles. The basic structure of this 'Adhesive Test' consists of applying a controlled amount of force onto the adhesive medium for a controlled period of time at a controlled speed. After this contact time the probe withdraws at a specified speed to a controlled distance above the product surface. Besides this specialist adhesive test the texture analyser is also able to perform many other tests on adhesive materials, such as 180 degree peel, 90 degree peel and T-peel.
